RICH SOLAR – Off-Grid Solar Equipment Shopify Plus Development
A custom Shopify Plus development project for RICH SOLAR, focused on building flexible eCommerce experiences for off-grid solar equipment, including custom pages, product templates, navigation, collection layouts, educational resources, and reusable Shopify sections.
Project Overview
RICH SOLAR is an eCommerce brand offering off-grid solar equipment and energy solutions for applications such as RVs, campers, vans, cabins, boats, and independent power systems.
My role involved Shopify Plus development and customization across multiple areas of the website. The project included building and enhancing reusable homepage sections, navigation, collection pages, product templates, educational resources, and existing PageFly content.
The goal was to create a more flexible and scalable Shopify experience that could support RICH SOLAR’s growing product catalog while making complex technical information easier for customers to explore and understand.

Homepage
Developed and customized flexible Shopify sections that work together to create a more engaging and scalable homepage experience. The layout was designed to highlight product categories, new releases, best sellers, educational content, videos, and promotional sections while keeping content easy to manage through Shopify.
Header and Menu
Developed a customizable header and mega menu system to improve navigation across RICH SOLAR’s extensive product catalog. The navigation was structured to help customers quickly browse solar panels, batteries, inverters, solar kits, system components, and educational resources.
Product Collection
Developed customizable Shopify collection pages designed to support a wide range of solar equipment. The layouts help customers browse products efficiently while maintaining a consistent shopping experience across different product categories.
Product Template
Developed multiple customizable Shopify product templates tailored to different RICH SOLAR product categories. Each template was designed with its own flexible sections and content structure to better present product features, specifications, variants, downloads, and related information.

Pagefly Pages
Enhanced and maintained selected existing PageFly landing pages while preserving the client’s existing PageFly workflow. The pages were improved to better match the overall website experience while maintaining compatibility with the app-based page-building system.
